Who We Are

The Physical Therapist and Exercise Physiologists at Optima Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation have been evaluating, managing and treating auto collisions, work injuries, sports trauma and general pain syndromes since 1997. During this time, we have built a reputation among patients, doctors, and insurance companies of providing quality, evidence-based physical therapy care, specializing in spine disorders.

Our mission is to offer an active, results-oriented rehabilitation program, staffed by trained professionals.

Olivia Stanzer, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist



Olivia is a recent Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, TX. Olivia earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2010 from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. She is eager to continue to grow her skills and is passionate about physical therapy, yoga, hiking and humanitarian efforts, including past experiences in Honduras and Guatemala.­­­




Dan Ward, MBS

Exercise Therapist
Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator


Dan graduated from Kansas State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. In 1998, he earned his Master of Basic Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Dan holds a certificate in Functional Capacity Evaluation from Roy Matheson and Associates. Dan has worked in the rehabilitation field for almost 20 years and has been with Optima since 2000. He has experience in geriatrics and cardiac rehabilitation. Dan makes his home in Fountain with his wife and enjoys spending time with his children, fly fishing, gardening and the outdoors.

Marleah Szott, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist



Marleah is a 2019 Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, TX. Marleah earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Applied Exercise Physiology in 2016 from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. She is eager to continue to grow her skills and is passionate about physical therapy, yoga, hiking and humanitarian efforts, including past experiences in Honduras and Guatemala.­­­



Vanessa Moar, BS

Exercise Therapist, Clinic Administrator
Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist


Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Spanish from the University of Missouri in 1994. While at Mizzou, she attended a study abroad program at the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. She completed her Masters of Basic Science in Exercise Physiology coursework at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2000. She began her career with Optima in 2000. Vanessa received her Cancer Exercise Specialist certification from the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute. Vanessa lives in Castle Rock, enjoys running, hiking, working out and cooking, and is an avid sports fan.

Victoria Gutierrez, PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant



Tory earned her Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from Carrington College in Mesa, AZ in 2012. Tory has also served in the Air National Guard since 2013. She is new to the Colorado Springs area and enjoys an active Colorado lifestyle.
